Deliverance From Temptation

Temptation is to be put into a situation where you could fall into sin like lying, fear, stealing or uncleanness as a result of Satan’s temptation.
“The Lord knows how to deliver the godly out of temptations” (2Pet. 2:9) The Lord delivers those who have a genuine relationship with Him, who are obedient to His commandments, out of temptation. “Therefore let him who thinks he stands take heed lest he fall” (2Cor.10:12). We need to be alert as we are liable to be tempted by Satan to sin, as he did with the people of God in the wilderness.  “But with most of them God was not well pleased, for their bodies were scattered in the wilderness.  Now these things became our examples, to the intent that we should not lust after evil things as they also lusted … Now all these things happened to them as examples, and they were written for our admonition” (1Cor. 10:5, 6, 11). So, be careful and do not be overly confident in yourself as evil spirits reside in the air around us.
“Pride goes before destruction, and a haughty spirit before a fall” (Prov. 16:18).  Ask the Lord to keep you humble in spirit; understanding that you are liable to attacks and falling in temptation. Satan can launch a sudden attack or lead you gradually into temptation.  Therefore, seek the Lord’s protection and enlightenment so as to perceive and understand the enemy’s schemes; and the Lord’s warning in due time using His Word, spiritual sermons, or through a spiritual leader.
“No temptation has overtaken you except such as is common to man; but God is faithful, who will not allow you to be tempted beyond what you are able, but with the temptation will also make the way of escape” (1Cor. 10:13) Do not fall into self-pity; other people face the same temptation.  However, the Lord is faithful and will not allow you to be tempted beyond your ability, and will also make the way of escape.  Knowing that for every temptation, there is a way of escape, for the Lord loves us and fully understands our vessels and inclinations.
Always be ready for temptations coming your way. The Holy Spirit will alert you to the upcoming trial.  The Lord told His disciples, “Watch and pray, lest you enter into temptation” (Matt. 26:41), to warn them from falling into fear and denial of Him.  Be awake and pray that the Lord leads you not into temptation but deliver you from the evil one. Give the Holy Spirit the chance to lead you and equip yourself with biblical verses that fit the trial.
“Therefore submit to God. Resist the devil and he will flee from you” (James 4:7). Unless we submit to the Lord and His commandments, we cannot force Satan to flee from us.  Be faithful in your daily duties, flee idolatry (anything that you love more than the Lord), love of money, adultery, youthful lusts as Joseph did.  Also, rid yourself of promoters of sin, such as bad friends, then you will be able to successfully resist the devil using the sword of the spirit and the name of Jesus “Enter not into the path of the wicked” (Pro. 4:14) such as bribery and fellowship with non-believers.
Thank you Lord because you protect from the hour of temptation, “who delivered us from so great a death, and does deliver us; in whom we trust that He will still deliver us” (2Cor. 1:10)

A Man of Rest

“And of Asher he said: Asher is most blessed of sons; Let him be favored by his brothers, and let him dip his foot in oil.  Your sandals shall be iron and bronze; As your days, so shall your strength be” (Deut. 33: 24). Moses blessed this tribe by:
  • Fruitfulness and enlargement
  • Dips his foot in oil; by the power and the leadership of the Holy Spirit , he moves from glory to glory enjoying the protection
  • Sources of harm will be closed by iron and bronze and satan cannot open them.
  • As his days, so shall his strength be no matter what the time or circumstances are.
The Lord’s will for you is to be like Asher, enjoying all these privileges.  Trust that as you walk with the Lord, he carries you on the everlasting arm; blesses you, renews your strength like the eagle, and gives you rest all around.  If you are being threatened by satan; say as my days, so shall my strength be.  If you fear old age; say as my days, so shall my strength be because the great giver of rest, the Lord Jesus, wants to accompany us and to walk the entire path with us.  He said, “come to Me, all you who labor and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest … and you will find rest for your souls.” (Matt 11: 28) He paid the price of rest on the cross.
Three characters in the Bible enjoyed this rest.  All were kings; and this means that the Lord wants you to live as a king.
King Jehoshaphat: “Then the realm of Jehoshaphat was quiet, for his God gave him rest all around” (2 Chr.20: 30)  The Lord gave him rest in all areas of his life as he faced the alliance of three armies against him.  He prayed: “We have no power against this great multitude that is coming against us; nor do we know what to do, but our eyes are upon You.” (2 Chr. 20: 12).  Jehoshaphat confessed his faith in the divine deliverance.  For this reason the Lord’s reply was that the battle was not theirs but God’s.  These armies were confused and they helped to destroy one another.  Confess your faith that the Lord disperses any evil alliance against you because of your faith in the precious blood.
King Asa: “For they had sworn with all their heart and sought Him with all their soul; and He was found by them and the Lord gave them rest all around” (2 Chron.15: 15) and in (2 Chron. 14: 7) “We have sought the Lord our God; we have sought Him, and He has given us rest on every side” Seek the Lord with all your heart and trust that His blood delivered you from the sense of guilt and you will enjoy rest and prosperity.  The Lord will not let you down.

King Solomon: “But now the Lord my God has given me rest on every side; there is neither adversary nor evil occurrence” ( 1 King 5: 4) and in (1 Chron. 22: 9) “Behold a son shall be born to you, who shall be a man of rest; and I will give him rest from all his enemies all around.  His name shall be Solomon, for I will give peace and quietness to Israel in his days” Every believer is called to be a man of rest and to carry out ones dealings while enjoying rest.  Refuse any burdens from satan; make the Lord Jesus your Lord and friend; and He will carry your burdens.  Then you can be a man of rest just like Solomon.

Come to the Lord and you will have rest.  Cast all your burdens on Him for He cares for you … He knows what you need for He is a good Father.

New Year 2016

Let us hold to the Lord’s promise  “Those who war against you shall be as nothing, as a non existent thing” (Isaiah 41:12) in all the upcoming battles that we might encounter this year, 2016.  Therefore, let us proclaim that through our faith in the precious blood of Jesus shed on our behalf we are in the new covenant;  We are no longer under the influence of curses, but instead receive our blessings from the Lord, “And the wicked one does not touch him” (1John5:18) .. Sorcery, envy, and all evil powers in the spiritual realm shall not prevail against us.  No matter how fierce the battles we face this year; in ministry, health, work, thoughts, relationships, or any other areas, we will continue to hold on to the Lord’s great promise, “fear not”
In the part that cites the promise “those who war against you shall be as nothing, as a nonexistent thing”, we find this reassuring phrase “fear not” repeated three times.
The first time:   If fear is due to fierceness of battles directed towards you, The Lord tells you “fear not” He will handle those that are gathered against you.  “Fear not, for I am with you; be not dismayed, for I am your God.  I will strengthen you, yes, I will help you, I will uphold you with My righteous right hand. Behold, all those who were incensed against you shall be ashamed and disgraced; they shall be as nothing, and those who strive with you shall perish. You shall seek them and not find them—those who contended with you, those who war against you shall be as nothing, as a nonexistent thing” (Isaiah 41: 10-12)
The second time:  If you fear future events, having lost your peace with your mind being torn by conflicting thoughts, the Lord reassures you that He will hold your right hand to lead you step by step, “For I, the Lord your God, will hold your right hand, saying to you, ‘Fear not, I will help you” (Is. 41:13)   He will lead you out of distress, crossing you over pits, opening doors before you, bringing you by a way that you did not know. (Is. 42:16)  Just trust in him. Fear not! The Lord will control circumstances, subject others, and all who are in authority, even Satan for your sake, as long as you remain focused on Him.
The third time: If fear has overcome you due to your exceedingly limited abilities, the Lord says “Fear not, you worm Jacob… I will make you into a new threshing sledge with sharp teeth; you shall thresh the mountains and beat them small, and make the hills like chaff.” (Is. 41: 14-15).  The worm is a symbol of utter weakness, but the Lord’s promise is to transform this weak worm into a very strong threshing sledge … if you are facing high mountains of problems and hills of obstacles, then the Lord’s promise is that you will be like the threshing sledge with teeth that thresh the mountains and beat them small, and make the hills like chaff, Who are you, O great mountain?  You will be like chaff before us.  We will see mountains disintegrate and hills turning into chaff in this New Year in Jesus.name.
We declare our faith that fear will not overcome nor move us this year. But by the work of the Holy Spirit in us we will submit to the leadership of the Lord and will resist sin whole heartedly.  We will resist falling out of God’s will no matter what the sacrifices are.  Whenever we feel afraid, we will go to the Lord asking Him to wash us, by His Word, from all fear, trusting that the Holy Spirit is working in our hearts to cleanse us from the filth of fear, worry, and anxiety.

Let us speak prophetically about the New Year
We thank the Lord for a year in which we will be released in His service and
Yield great fruit in the ministry
We pray that the tree yields its full strength!
In Jesus Name we proclaim we will bear forth a hundred fold fruit

Expect that the Lord releases you as he did with Timothy, “our brother Timothy has been released” (Heb. 13:23)
Lord release me from anything that, partially or wholly, hinders me from serving you!
This year, I will be a useful vessel … a vessel for glory not shame
We confess our faith that all things happening to us will be for the furtherance of the gospel
We will not be useless vessels, instead we will be vessels filled by the anointing oil of the Holy Spirit. News about us this year will be for the Lord’s glory and Satan’s disgrace!
Our faith confession for this year is that Satan will be disgraced in all his confrontations with us.
Those who contend with us shall be like nothing and shall perish, we shall seek those who are incensed against us and shall not find them.
The water shall cover all our adversaries, not one of them will be left (Psalm 106: 11)
Everything that annoys us will come to an end in Jesus Name!
Everything that stands against our joy, our peace, our purity shall diminish by time and eventually disappear… Those who war against us shall be like nothing like a non-existent thing!
I thank you Lord for a year of resolving battles, possessing our inheritance, and winning abundant spoils
Thank you, because the things I struggled with for many years shall be today like nothing, like a nonexistent thing.

And I declare my faith that this is a year of great spoils.

Statement of Our Faith

The Holy Bible:
  • We believe that it is given by inspiration of God, infallible, written by holy men of God as they were moved by the Holy Spirit; and compiled in 66 books.
  • We believe that it is the Word of God: the living, powerful, and complete revelation of God to man.
  • We believe that it is fully sufficient for man to know the truth pertaining to his salvation, conduct, knowledge of God and fellowship with Him. Scripture reference: 2Ti 3:16-17, 2Pet 1:21, Heb. 4:2, Lu 16:29
God:
  • We believe in one everlasting, eternal, self-existing, almighty God.
  • We believe in the Trinity: the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit and that the three persons are equal in all divine attributes.
  • We believe that the three are distinct without separation. Each one has His own works that cannot be attributed to the other two. The incarnation of the Son is an example of such an attribute.
  • We also believe that the three persons are united without losing their uniqueness.  The person of the Father is not the same person as the Son. Scripture reference: Deut. 6:4, Ps. 90:2, Ps. 119:68, Matt. 28:19, 1Ti 2:5, 1John 4:4 Jesus Christ:
  • We believe that the Lord Jesus Christ is the person of the Son united in essence (from everlasting to everlasting) with the Father and the Holy Spirit; equal to both in all divine attributes.
  • We believe in His divinity; that He is omnipotent, omniscient, and that all things were made through Him.
  • We believe in His incarnation, and that since His incarnation He became both God and man at the same time.  In the fullness of time, He took on a physical body, free from sin, formed in the womb of the Virgin Mary by the Holy Spirit; and as a man he did not know sin.
  • We believe that His humanity did not depart from His divinity and that He is one person.
  • We believe that He died, by the flesh, on the cross for our sins.  He rose from the dead in a glorified body on the third day, ascended to Heaven, sat on God's right hand to intercede, all the time, for believers.
  • We believe that salvation is in and through no one else, and that He is the head of the Church (the true believers everywhere and in every era)
Scripture reference: John 1:3, 14, Phil. 2:6, Matt. 1:18-23, Luke 1:35, I John 3:5,
ICor. 15:3-5, Heb. 5:8, 9:24, I John 2:1, Acts 4:12
The Holy Spirit:
  • We believe that the Holy Spirit is equal in person to God the Father and God the Son being united with them in one essence.
  • We believe that He is the one who convicts the sinner, leading him to repentance. The repentant sinner is afterwards born again by the Holy Spirit with a new nature.
  • We believe that He dwells in every believer.  We also believe in the infilling of the Holy Spirt to equip believers with power to overcome sin and to have a fruitful testimony for the Lord Jesus.
  • We believe that the fruit and the gifts of the Holy Spirit are given to believers for the building up of the Church; and that the Holy Spirit works in the believers for the glory of the Lord Jesus.
Scripture reference: Acts 5: 3, 4; John 16:8; John 3:7; 1Cor. 3:16; Acts 2:4; Gal. 5:22; 1Cor. 12; John 16:14
Man:
  • We believe that every man is born with a sinful nature, inherited from Adam after the fall.   For this reason, every man committed sins that made him deserving of the second death - eternal destruction.
  • We believe that man cannot save himself from such punishment by his works.
Scripture reference: Genesis 3; Ps. 51: 5; Ro. 3:10-12; Ro. 5:12; Rev. 20:11-15; Ti. 3:5
Salvation:
  • We believe that salvation from eternal punishment cannot be obtained except by the grace of God, given as a free gift at the expense of the complete redemptive work of Christ.
  • We believe that the sinner is saved by faith (in his heart) in the Lord Jesus.  As he turns from his sins and accepts the Lord, his sins are forgiven, he is reborn from above, becomes a son of God, and a temple of the Holy Spirit.
Scripture reference: Eph. 2:8; John 3:16-18; Ro. 3:24, 25; John 1:12,13
The invisible World:
  • We believe in the existence of angels … as well as the existence of the devil and his kingdom.
  • We believe that the angels are God's servants; they come to our earth to strengthen and protect believers.
  • We believe that the devil's army attacks the believer to rob him of his privileges, bind him in sin and weakness, and hinder his success.  What facilitates the enemy’s schemes is the believer’s continuous holding on to sinful acts and not resisting them.
  • We believe that the believer has authority over the devil and his kingdom since the believer’s position is higher; sitting with Christ in the heavenlies.  He is able to cast out evil spirits in the name of Jesus and to resist the devil, putting on the full armor of God, that he might flee.  He has to use his authority to be victorious.
